It has to be said that when first looking at the Kindle 2, you can’t help but think Apple. Its unbelievably slim profile and sleek design are decidedly impressive and are very easy on the eyes. In the world of Amazon, size does seem to matter. Four months after releasing the Kindle 2, the Kindle DX with its much bigger screen and great new tricks, hit the market. The DX was Amazon’s effort to show academic publishers that it was time to green up and get with the digital revolution.
